Statement:
My practise strives to highlight the extent of tribalness
in our social structure. Yuppie, culshie, knacker, hippie, krusty, inner-city
scumbag.
These are all words, people, insults, fabrications, and exaggerations. To
deal with something on the borderline you must approach it on the border.
Hence the lack of restrictions on the materials used.
In a disposable society, the disposed is my natural resource. The found
object and the painted mark, both support each other in the task of becoming
finished work. Characters unwilling to remain painted or glued, found
or drawn.
The work has never meant to be a sermon from a pulpit, more like the naturalists
night vision on an unsuspecting gazelle.
